Registration for 2024-25 School Year
Welcome! The Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District is proud and excited to welcome you and your four-year-old to our Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK). We are pleased to collaborate with Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School. They are contracted to provide our UPK program. Together, we are committed to ensuring that your child develops the necessary skills they will need to be successful learners.
Research has found that students who attend Pre-K programs are more successful in their long-term educational path. As such, our goal is to provide an early learning experience for your child who lives in our district and who will be four years old by December 1, 2024.
Our UPK program is administered by Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School and houses approximately 18 children in each class. Each UPK class is staffed with a certified teacher and at least one assistant - depending on the number of students.
If you need immediate assistance, please contact Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School at 914-937-4407. Regardless, please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Katherine Sinsabaugh if you have any questions. We can’t wait to meet you and your children soon.
Here’s to a fantastic year filled with fun and engaging learning experiences!

SUMMER 2024
During the summer students will be asked to come to the UPK, be administered an assessment, and families will complete an Emergent Language profile. This information will help inform the UPK teachers on how they may best assist students.
The UPK conducts a Pre-K readiness assessment and an Emergent Language Profile for all incoming students during the summer. This information helps inform class placement decisions and serves as a baseline for growth.
